Privacy Policy — Shimio

1. Scope and contact

This policy describes how Shimio at shimio.net handles information when you browse, sign in, generate videos, purchase credits or contact us. For privacy requests, email support@shimio.net. You do not need an account to email us.

2. Information we process

• Account and sign-in: Google account identifier, name, email, profile image when supplied, session records and technical information needed to authenticate you. Google sign-in does not give us access to your Gmail, Drive or Calendar.
• Generation material: your character photo, complete reference video including its audio, optional prompt, selected number of outputs, generation instructions, detected input specifications, task identifiers, status and completed video information.
• Billing: product, order and subscription references, amounts, currency, payment status, credit grants, consumption, returns and expiry. Full card numbers and security codes are handled by the payment service rather than stored in our application.
• Technical and referral information: IP address, browser information, request and error information, referring page, campaign tags, landing page and country inferred from your connection where available.
• Support and safety correspondence: your contact details, ticket messages, task or order references and evidence you send with reports or appeals.

Please provide only material needed for the request. Do not upload identity documents, passwords, payment credentials or unrelated sensitive personal information.

3. Why we use it

We use information to authenticate your account, generate and deliver videos, operate credits and subscriptions, process billing requests, prevent abuse, apply our content rules, investigate reports and provide support. We use automated content moderation to identify and block prohibited material. Authorized staff may review relevant material and records when investigating support, safety or rights concerns.

Where applicable data-protection law requires a legal basis, service delivery and billing rely on performing our agreement with you; security and necessary support rely on legitimate interests; legal recordkeeping relies on legal obligations; optional analytics storage relies on your consent. You can withdraw optional-cookie consent through Cookie Settings.

We do not sell your personal information or use your photos or videos to train AI models. Your material is used to provide the requested service, perform safety checks and address relevant support or rights concerns.

4. How information is processed

We process and share only the information needed for account authentication, video generation and safety checks, private storage, payments, support, analytics and security. Google handles sign-in and the analytics described below. Waffo Pancake handles checkout, subscription payments and approved refunds; full payment credentials are entered securely at checkout rather than stored by Shimio.

Processing may take place outside your country and is subject to applicable privacy requirements. Information may also be disclosed to investigate abuse, protect affected rights or comply with lawful requirements. Your uploads and completed videos are not published in a public gallery.

5. Media storage and deletion

Photos and reference videos are previewed on your device until you submit a generation request. Source files are processed to create your video and carry out safety checks. We do not maintain a separate source-file library.

Completed videos are kept in private storage for up to 30 days and automatically removed after that period. Playback and downloads through Shimio require the owning account. Download a copy you want to keep, and keep your media links private.

Account and task records are retained while needed to operate your account and provide support. Payment and credit records are retained for reconciliation, disputes and legal recordkeeping. Reports and appeals are retained as needed to investigate and handle follow-up. You can request deletion of your account or media by email; we remove eligible information and explain any records that must be retained.

6. Cookies and analytics

Essential cookies maintain sign-in, security and your preferences. Network and account information can be used for rate limiting. Google Analytics 4 measures page visits and site use. Analytics storage defaults to denied until you accept optional cookies. You can reject them or revisit Cookie Settings in the footer.

Google Consent Mode may still send cookieless measurement signals while storage is denied. We do not send uploaded photos, videos, prompts, email addresses or payment details as custom analytics events. Rejecting optional analytics cookies does not prevent you from signing in or using the generator.

7. Your choices and requests

Your account identity comes from Google. You can view your generated videos in My videos, change cookie consent and email us to cancel subscription renewal or request access, correction, export or deletion of your information or account. Depending on your location, you may also have rights to object, restrict processing, withdraw consent or complain to a data-protection authority. Contact support@shimio.net.

We may need to verify that you control the account or have authority over the material. Our target is an initial response within 48 hours; completion depends on the request and applicable legal requirements. Do not send full card details or suspected illegal imagery with a request.

8. Children, security and updates

Shimio is for adults aged 18 or older and does not allow uploads or generated depictions of minors. Report suspected child-unsafe use promptly. We use HTTPS, authenticated access and private application storage to protect information, but no service can guarantee absolute security. We handle security incidents and any required notifications according to applicable law.
