Acceptable Use Policy — Shimio
Content rules, automated moderation, safety reports, enforcement and appeals.
Last updated: 2026-10-24
This policy is part of our Terms of Service and applies to uploaded photos, reference videos and audio, generation requests and generated content. Use only your own adult likeness, another consenting adult's likeness, or an original character you have the right to use. Permission must cover the intended synthetic performance and sharing, as well as the source material.
Prohibited content
- Pornography and NSFW content. No pornography, sexual acts, sexualized nudity, sexual exploitation or non-consensual intimate images, including synthetic material.
- Violence and gore. No graphic injury, torture, gore, abuse of people or animals, credible violent threats or encouragement of violent wrongdoing.
- Hate and harassment. No dehumanizing or threatening content targeting protected characteristics such as race, religion, nationality, sex, gender, sexual orientation or disability. Do not bully, humiliate, stalk or defame anyone.
- Child-unsafe content and CSAM. No child sexual abuse material, sexualization, exploitation or grooming of minors, including synthetic depictions. Shimio also prohibits uploaded and generated depictions of people under 18 in non-sexual contexts.
- Deceptive deepfakes and impersonation. No unauthorized use of a real person's face, body, likeness or voice; fabricated endorsements; political deception; identity fraud; nudification; or intimate-scene compositing. Do not make viewers believe a person actually performed a synthetic act. Authorized creative performances must be clearly disclosed as AI-generated and respect the depicted person's consent and rights. Do not use a celebrity's or public figure's likeness without the necessary authorization.
- Copyright and trademark infringement. Do not submit photos, recordings, music, video, characters, artwork, logos or brands without the necessary rights. Generation does not grant permission to reuse a soundtrack, clone a voice or imply an endorsement.
Illegal activity, fraud, scams, terrorism, promotion of self-harm and attempts to evade safety, account or credit controls are also prohibited. Do not access another user's media or use multiple accounts to bypass limits.
Automated moderation
We use automated content moderation to identify and block prohibited content during the generation process. Rejected requests are not delivered as completed results. File validation and account limits provide additional controls. You remain responsible for adulthood, consent and ownership of your source material under our Terms of Service.
Automated checks can miss a violation or reject permissible material. A successful generation is not proof that you have the necessary rights or that sharing it is lawful. Review your output before use. Our service does not publish your videos in a public feed.
When the generation service confirms a failed task, including a safety rejection reported as failure, charged generation credits are returned once. A pending or uncertain task is investigated before settlement. A later removal for a confirmed violation is assessed separately under the Refund Policy.
Report unsafe content or a rights violation
Anyone can email support@shimio.net with the subject Content safety report. Include:
- The task reference, relevant page or where you encountered the content, if known.
- A short explanation of the concern and your connection to any affected rights.
- Supporting links or other lawful evidence and an email where we can reply.
Do not download, forward or attach suspected CSAM or other illegal imagery. Describe the concern and provide a location or reference instead.
Our target is an initial response within 48 hours. We prioritize child safety, non-consensual intimate content and credible threats. We review available information, request clarification when necessary and take appropriate action. Complex investigations may take longer; we will explain the next step. Reporting does not itself establish a violation or automatically entitle someone to a refund.
Enforcement
Depending on severity and available evidence, we may reject a request, issue a warning, remove material under our control, restrict or suspend access, or terminate service for serious or repeated violations. Access to remaining credits may be restricted or forfeited for serious abuse, subject to applicable law; this is not an automatic cash refund. We may preserve necessary evidence and cooperate with lawful requests from authorities.
We consider disputed reports and the affected user's explanation where appropriate. Action may be taken without advance notice where necessary to address serious harm. Removing our copy cannot recall copies already downloaded or shared elsewhere.
Appeals
If you believe a rejection or enforcement action was mistaken, email support@shimio.net with the subject Content safety appeal, the task reference and your explanation. Our target is an initial response within 48 hours. We reconsider the available evidence and notify you of the outcome where possible. A mistaken rejection can result in restored access or returned credits, as appropriate; an appeal does not promise that an already failed task can be recovered.
Knowingly false or abusive reports and attempts to bypass enforcement are prohibited. Report and appeal information is handled under our Privacy Policy.
